I ain't afraid of no ghost

Spooky Victorian Setting - A Christmas Carol
After looking briefly at how I could form the shape of an actual ghost, I thought it could be a more interesting concept for me to think about the theme more ambiguously. Taking some painting I did over the weekend, I have started to play around with the idea of what makes a scene or room 'spooky' to a person. More often than not, there isn't an actual physical entity sat on the bed or standing in the room - I want to explore this, looking at tone and atmosphere, as well as including symbols.

Things to potentially add to this image
- Detail on right curtain (maybe alter shape slightly- could cover the whole right side of floor?)
- Wood pattern (top)
- Shadow of a figure? From left hand corner? - paint, wobbly over the bed
- OR a figure (ghostly creature/person) sitting on the bed (from left)
- Maybe make this into a gif? Could add a figure shadow walking across the room? Candle smoke flickering?
